Golden, sweet nuts filled with natural flavour.

Tasmania is ideally suited to growing a range of temperate climate tree nuts including walnuts, hazelnuts and chestnuts. Our relatively cool climate means nuts mature slowly, they store well and retain good flavour.

Tasmanian nut orchards enjoy a cold winter and a relatively cool summer, allowing nuts to mature slowly and nut oils extra time to develop.

The value of Tasmanian production is approximately $10 million, the majority of which are walnuts.

Nuts are sold into the local and domestic markets and consumed as fresh, in confectionery or as part of prepared meals.

On this remote island that’s both wild and calm, our growers work with nature to produce the very best.
